Hello!
I love podcasts! Since I have about an hour commute to and from work M-F, I try to utilize that time to either get my mind set for or decompress from the day by listening to various motivational, informational, or humorous podcasts. I would love to know what everyone else listens to and recommends! All suggestions are good suggestions.

I really like The School of Greatness Podcast by Lewis Howes. He covers a ton of different content. The descriptor online says "The goal of the School of Greatness is to share inspiring stories from the most brilliant business minds, world class athletes and influential celebrities on the planet to help you find out what makes great people great."
Episodes are usually about an hour but sometimes go longer because he does a lot of ads in the beginning. That's the only thing I don't like.

This is going to sound inappropriate but I’ve never laughed at any podcast as much as I’ve laughed at My Dad Wrote a Porno.
Hi Heather! Two podcasts I listen to almost daily is the Robinhood Snacks Daily podcast (for business news) and Jemele Hill is Unbothered for great interviews with a wide variety of celebs, politicians, etc.
A humorous one I am loving right now is Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend. So good!
How about No Such Thing As A Fish?
I LOVE Dax Shepherds podcast Armchair Expert it helps my morning drive to work!
Hi Heather,
I also love podcasts! One of my favorites is called OLD which stands for Optimal Living Daily. It’s super short, but if you like them you can listen to previous podcasts. It’s posted 365 days. Also Optimal Health Daily is in the same family if you would like some quick tips. Happy listening!

1. My Brother, My Brother, and Me: a humorous advice show by the three brothers, Justin, Travis, and Griffin. They take listener questions and give "advice", ranging from actual advice to going down a rabbit hole of bad advice, they read out hilariously confusing yahoo questions, and in general have a jolly ol' time together. I can honestly say there isn't much that makes me laugh like this podcast. Peepum's NastyGum, episode 39, is probably my favorite episode of all time, but in general I recommend the more recent episodes (anything beyond 150). They're not a fan of their earlier episodes due to some exclusive humor they no longer stand by. Whenever I'm in a depressive episode, I listen to this podcast to re-find some joy!
2. Adventure Zone: a fantasy dnd podcast by the three brothers and their father, Clint. As of right now they've done 2 complete story arcs and begun a third recently. I know "fantasy" and "dnd" is a hard sell, but it's honestly more like a book being written improvisationally by 4 different authors with completely different agendas--it's absolutely hilarious at times, heart-breaking at others. I have openly cried laughing as well as openly sobbed. I listened to the first arc, Balance, when my life was in one of the lowest places it's ever been. I think it saved pieces of my heart I would've otherwise lost
3. Sawbones: a medical history podcast by Justin and his doctor wife, Sydnee. They basically discuss all the wild and wacky ways our history has tried to diagnose and cure certain ailments. It's very funny, but honestly one of the best things about it is Justin's awe and respect for his wife's intelligence and expertise He's basically along for the ride!
4. Wonderful!: a show about wonderful things by Griffin and his wife Rachel. Literally they just talk about things that make them happy! It's infectious, joyful, and so very bright. If you need a little reminder of something wonderful, give it a go
5. Schmanners: an etiquette-themed podcast by Travis and his wife, Teresa. This podcast makes me feel fun and fancy-free!!! I love to dabble in fancy things every now and then, so I appreciate the casual way they tackle etiquette and just in general love and enjoy doing the podcast together!
Sorry for the novel, but I have auditory processing issues and thus struggle with podcasts, so the fact that I enjoy these means I get very excited about them haha Let me know if you try any of them out!
Podcasts are my JAM! I love that they are becoming more and more popular. I listen to all different types and get most of my news that way. For quick news stories of the week, "The Daily" is my go to. If you are looking for something educational and fun "Getting Curious with Jonathon Van Ness" has all different topics and I have learned about things I never thought I would care about. "Revisionist History" is along the same lines, usually there is a theme to a season of a few episodes but it is usually just a topic that interests the host Malcolm Gladwell.
I hope you find these helpful :)
@Sawyer Paull-Baird , I listened to an episode of the Sigma Nutrition podcast on my drive to work today. Very interesting. I chose the one about nutrition periodization to see if there is ANY way I can justify the two week Halloween candy bender I've been on...spoiler alert....there isn't. 🤦🏻♀️
Another one I really enjoy on the informational side is Ear Hustle. It's made by inmates of San Quentin State Prison, plus an artist that volunteers at the prison. It is very well made and even though there are a lot of heavy topics covered, there are also a lot of episodes that feature just the realities of daily life or traditions in the facility. Sometimes it's humorous, sometimes relatable, sometimes eye opening.
I'm glad you liked it! There's a ton of good info in there.
PS- Feel free to drop your leftover Halloween candy at AFS! ??
