In the mood for deviled eggs but don’t want all that mayo? This recipe eliminates the ingredient that is important for that creamy filling, so let’s put in avocado instead to keep the texture consistent! These little green glories are delish! If you’re looking for a healthy pot luck option, consider these recipes a safe bet.

FRUIT KABOBS WITH LEMON DIP

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup non-fat Greek yogurt (Fage 0%)
  • 1 Tbsp instant lemon pudding mix (or more to liking)
  • Candy sprinkles (optional)
  • Fruit for dipping
  • Strawberries
  • Cantaloupe
  • Grapes
  • Pineapple
  • Watermelon

DIRECTIONS

1.    In a large bowl, mix yogurt and pudding mix until completely combined.

2.    Spoon into a serving bowl and top with sprinkles.

3.    Cover and chill until ready to serve with fruit.

4.    If you are looking for more fluff in your dip, you can add Cool Whip (original).

AVOCADO DEVILED EGGS

INGREDIENTS

·      4 hard boiled eggs

·      2 tablespoons mashed avocado

·      1/2 teaspoon mustard

·      1/4 teaspoon lemon juice

·      Salt and pepper, to taste

·      Dill weed, to taste

·      Paprika, for garnish

DIRECTIONS

1.    Slice hard boiled eggs in half lengthwise. Remove yolk from whites and set in a bowl.

2.    Add avocado, mustard, lemon juice, salt, pepper and dill weed.

3.    Mix together until creamy.

4.    Spoon or pipe filling into empty whites. Garnish with paprika.
